I'd like to see Mason play on a non-dogshit team but who the hell wants to pay him that $3 mil. I wonder what CBS could get for him.

@TGfireandice - Clarkson said Phaneuf said "no" twice when he asked him to fight, "and then he threw that quick little punch when I was trying to get set."

Second hit was dirty and unnecessary, deserved a call at least, also what a bitch. ^

This is possibly the worst commentary ever.

Clarkson connects twice, Phaneuf whiffs--"Hard right by Phaneuf!"

Phaneuf can barely get up, "AND DOWN GOES CLARKSON."
No comment at all about how Clarkson kinda gets jumped.

Living in Toronto for two years, this commentary started to wear on my soul.

4/19 for Ruutu

Guessing this helps the trade market, since it definitely takes a piece off the table.

Mcelhenney lost his first 7? games as a backup to Kipper one year and it became a joke to the whole team. Ended up 1-7 on the year. fuckin ese has always just been bad.

Who would've guessed the slumping Bruins would score on the Blues three times in the first period? Thomas is looking shaky again but this has been a hell of a fun game to watch.

Our Powerplay, which is Oates' primary role on the coaching staff, is also better than NYR's

33/198 - 16.7% - NJD
28/201 - 13.9% - NYR

i always liked oates's ideas even when they did struggle, he was very creative with his plays, but never had the right guy running the PP. as much as i dislike foster at 5v5, he is the x-factor QBing the top of the umbrella on the PP. he does a good job creating space, rotating, and making good passes.

the rangers, on the other hand, have no excuse with their bad PP. brad richards could pass the puck through a knot hole in a fence yet they don't score with regularity.

It certainly helps that Foster can actually hit the net with a shot as well, unlike Andy Greene or Mark Fayne.

Well honestly how much can the guy get for him? Everyone knows Vermette is a great shutdown centre but considering how much he's being paid you'd expect something better than being on pace for 40 points. It's an okay cap hit if you're Phoenix though cause all they're trying to do is reach the cap floor for next year.

But yeah McElihney fucking sucks, even when I saw him in the AHL he was shit. I don't even think he'd be a starter in the ECHL.

Oh and I know it's not an NHL story but Graham James can burn to death in an oven for all I care. You're gonna finally apologize to your victims after 20 years of making them live their lives with that? Go fuck yourself you sick fucking bastard. I wish there was some way to lock him up in an Afghani prison for the rest of his life instead of the light 3 year sentence he'll probably get here.

Sooooo im totally piped on Downie for what we gave up. Much needed goon. Also happy to hear that the Avs are going to make 1-2 more moves by the deadline. Never hear news from them..

Hopefully we grab one of JVR/L. Schenn/ JJ.

Yeah I don't know how I like the trade, especially since Detroit's draft pick will be really late in the first round anyway, and I kinda liked Downie. He looks weird in an Avs jersey but hopefully he does well.
