thats my kit. its a shitty no name kit. i recently sold my premier kit cause i needed guitar gear. i kept my cymbals, snare, and hardware. i got this kit from the drummer in my band. i put new heads on it and she sounds awesome, got a K custom special dry ride while i was at the drum shop. amazing cymbal. so versatile.
i'm looking to go custom or build my own kit in the next year, hopefully. | | Back to top

It's some weird old Japanese kit from the '60s or '70s. 20" kick, 12" and 14" toms. 14" Pearl Chad Smith snare. I have a set of Saluda cymbals. 20" crash/ride, 19" crash, and 14" hats. It works for the little I get to play anymore. | | Back to top

Epiarch was making some nice stuff a while ago but I haven't heard anything from him in a while. Dark Horse seems to be a solid and inexpensive one nowadays. | | Back to top

I'm playing the same sizes, but it's a pork pie. I use avedis zildjians all around though, 14" hh, 18" c, and 20" ride. I want to get a 22" K light ride, though... Soooo nice | | Back to top

I've been using Tama Superstars since 2006, but I let my friend refinish them and he did a terrible job with the wrap, and as a result the lugs are kind of far off the shell so they don't stay tuned easily. He also reversed the bass drum spurs without asking me.
Probably gonna pick up something mid-range unless I come into a lot of money, in which case I'd probably shell out for a custom kit. | | Back to top

You may want to hit up Ebay. I was lurking for months and got my custom kit for way cheap. | | Back to top

I'm constantly lurking eBay looking for good deals. Hell, if I had $800 and lived in Philly I'd go for this: http://cgi.ebay.com/SHINE-Custom-Made-Drum-Set-Kit-One-of-a-Kind-/320634316396?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa74b666c | | Back to top

I just bought this a week ago... Still has the original bottom heads, came with all the original hardware, and the dude threw in a 1966 Ludwig Supraphonic... All for $900.
