my girl sophie. we found her on the street with a broken leg as a pup and have no clue what breed she is(her head looks like a labs head but her body..no clue). when she gets shaved for the summer her entire coat underneath is grey except for the fur on her head, halfway up her legs, and her tail...so she looks like a little lamb

So I dont know if it's common to just her breed or not, but my Boxer doesn't really destroy too many toys or anything. It seems to me that she kinda "gums" then when playing, instead of biting. Even when giving her a treat, we have to basically slide it in her mouth for her to take it.

Other news, she just got a bath and is now rolling around like a wild woman

Take out the video and leave the audio and you've got yourself sound effects for a horde of monsters in a horror movie.

Alpaugh? I went with her to pick up this pup. The parents were huge and she's gotten so big if it's the same dog! Wow.

Madden at bath time.

after, still wet.

Bull terrier will definitely be my next dog...they are so awesome, every one I have ever seen are the biggest babies ever. Are they common adoptable dogs?

My pooch got mauled today by some shitty pit (no offense) with a chain collar today at the dog park. Just sniffed him, tail waggin, and this dog got all blasting Ceremony and went at him. I got in the middle of it so my dog just got his ear bit pretty bad. Other dogs owner, some good in an addidas track suit with a gold chain didn't do shit. I was so blasting Ceremony after I could even see straight, this guy knew his dog was aggressive, it had already tried to start shit and he kept it on it's leash most of the time.

After I stormed up to him and was like Yo wtf I need your info you dog totally started this. Just looks at me "you get it on video, cuz that's not the way I saw it." and straight up refuses to give me any info. As we were leaving someone else told us his name. What a POS to not take any responsibility for your dog you know starts fights.

Went to the emergency vet, said it would be 1400 to stitch him up, said it was too big to try to let it heal on it's own. Don't have that money so told them to do what they could untill Monday when out normal vet opens. Gave us a ton of drugs and wrapped his head up real good. My dog was acting like nothing happened, when we walked him to the car he was acting like it was fine, which is Ice Cold. Still have no idea what the normal vet is going to charge to sew his ear, probably not too bad.

Tldr, some pet owners suck, my dog got attacked and the other owner didn't do shit.

Edit for a goofy as pic of him coming home from the vet:

Guy has had a rough ass life, was found so staved he looked like a concentration camp survivor, had a huge wound on his back from something (now a bad ass scar), has a leg that broke and healed with no cast (so he limps sometimes when its really cold), has either shot gun shot or bbs in him, head twitches constantly (vet said that and the leg are probably damage from getting run over), has few/super worn down teeth, had half his ear cut off because of a growth, was totally abused (for a while would freak out and hide if someone yelled or moved their arm fast) and is about 3/4 blind. Still the most mellow dog. Can be sitting in the middle of a party and fall asleep while every steps right next to him, no cares whatsoever. Hasn't even acted like his ear is hurting one bit.

Some asshole who wears sweatpants that hang low with no underwear has a huge shepherd dog that's unneutered (not a baby, like a 6 year old dog) and starts fights with EVERY dog. He does absolutely nothing, he actually encourages it a little. I want to shoot him in the face.

My dog is also unnutered, but we got him when he was already 8 and the vets said it wouldn't really make a difference. Sometimes he can growl, and not start fights, but will just growl and puff his chest out and stomp around near abother dog. Only with other unfixed dogs, and even then most hes chill with. It happens once in a while, not often, but enough that I know to keep my fucking eyes on him. When he's at the park he's never more then a few feet away, unless no ones there. My dog can be a pain, I didnt really have a choice when I got him, but I keep damn sure he behaves. I can't stand when other people don't.

One guy one day coming in said to me "your dogs unnutered too? Mine might have a problem with that." then just sat in his fucking car. Not even in the park. I kept an eye on my dog and nothin happened.

If I was choosing a dog now I would get one neutered. But I found mine as a stray so I didn really have a choice. I know having a dog like that comes with extra responsibility, and when others don't and I have to pull their dog off mine in a fight, and almost get bit myself, I have a fucking Problem. Maybe if the other owner was with his dog too, and not on the other side of the park smoking the whole thing would have been avoided, but some owners apparently can't be bothered to get off their ass if they know thee dog has problems. For some people it's having aggressive dogs, for me its having the unfixed one the other ones go after. Mine is usually the one getting humped and attacked, an the other owners are never fucking around.

I went to this park pretty much every day, a ton of times twice a day, for a year while I lived a block away. Now go maybe once every few weeks. In all this time he's been in probably 3 fights. Everyone has been the same. Some other dog runs up and starts growling. My dog growls back, get's jumped on. Big reason why I barely go anymore, no other owners can deal with their fucking dogs. If you have a dog that can make problems, keep a fucking eye on it if your going to come. If you do, there's no problems. I can barely even remember a time where another owner was the one to come up and pull their dog away when it was the one being aggressive. No one can take and fucking responsibility, which is funny because I'm the one who never really wanted a dog to begin with.

I've met a few unneutered dogs, and most of them are ok. I think just the problem with this guy and his dog is that it seems like he choose to not neuter his dog. Why would you choose not to? Also, this dog starts fights with neutered dogs. He'll hump other much smaller dogs and instigate fights.

It seems like you keep a sharp eye on your dog, this guy doesn't. By the way he acts, it seems like he bought this dog and chose not to get it neutered for some "it makes him less manly" reason or some bs like that. The one time I ever talked to him, he suggested so.

I don't take Madden to parks either. Most of the dogs the one time I went her bigger than he was and my guy freaked out a little. They had a section that was blocked off from the rest and we played in there with some smaller dogs and he had no problem, then the big ones that were giving him shit when he'd go near a fence would bark while the owners were on the other side of the park so I had to get his attention again and get them to back off. Pretty stressful, sorry to hear about your dog but I'm glad it didn't turn out worse for him.

My puppy Eisley had her first dog park outing today. She was deathly afraid for the first ten or so minutes but she came around. She used to love stranger dogs but a few have tried to attack her (stupid fucks) while out on walks in the last couple of months.

I love her so much. She's a snuggle worm. And seeing her with my other Border Collie, just goofing around and playing is great. Honestly, it's just great having two dogs. Getting a second dog was the best decision of my life aside from asking my girlfriend out.

That can be a tough one to break. I'd suggest ignoring him/her when they whine. If you give in they learn that whining/barking will get them what they want.

Our fuckin ese just got neutered yesterday. He's doing great and isn't really going after his stitches or anything. But the vet told us he shouldn't run, jump or climb for 8-10 days to be sure everything heals and the stitches don't pull. The problem is he is always non-stop energy. He can't sit still for 10 minutes let alone ten days. He's already been running all over the apartment and jumping on and off the couch. I really don't want to stick him in his crate for the next ten days just to stop him from running. But every time he jumps I have a heart attack. How worried should I be? How often do stitches pull out? Am I just being crazy?
