This place is a very cool place for shows but definitely weird. some bro walked in last night and started push noshing. right when I saw him I said oh no he's going to get beat up. 20 minutes later I saw him outside with a black eye blasting Ceremony... Lol

Anyone knows who is doing the Cold World show in May in Oakland? The Wrath is trying to get on that show. Any help would be awesome.

You always post in the Bay Area Hardcore group right?

Yup, I joined for hardcore and didn't get much out of the group so I try to post stuff occasionally. Their shows aren't my thing.

That fucking group...

Sometimes I have no hope for SJ after reading those posts. I do get laughs out of it though.

I think I'm the only one in West SJ huh? I am sure there are even less hardcore fans here than anywhere in the area.

House of the Dead Rat does shows semi-consistantly. I'm surprised to hear so much complaining. Coming from Chicago, I enjoy SJ punk shows and their lack of politics/etiquette in comparison. We help alot of smaller tours that SJ kids seem to go to in San Francisco/Oakland instead. It seems that I haven't met any of you, besides Rusty... Come hang in our basement. I'll post some flyers soon but in the next few months Outlook (members of Hysterics), Enabler (members of Today is the Day), and Weekend Nachos are playing... all seperate shows.

House Of The Dead Rat is my favorite place to be regarding shows.

Btw, I can't wait to see Outlook. They ruled at the Punch show last year.

House of the dead rat rules.
One of the funnest shows I've played this year was at that basement, a few weeks back. Perfect line up, perfect chill zone.
Would love to play there again.

So...I'm confused. Is this House of the Dead Rat the same house that was, a few years back, known as Dead Rat Beach? 34th and Peralta?

Hahaha. Fair enough. And, really, even if that hadn't have been you saying it....calling that house (particularly at that time) a filthy dump....completely reasonable. You should see some of the photos I have from that house on my computer (many are VERY incriminating) because there was a time Adam didn't have a computer, so he'd come over and dump the contents of his digital camera on mine. Haha.

So, let's talk about a show in here that's going to actually be good. Melvins and Unsane in April. Is there a way to pre-buy tickets for the san jose venue or is it just show and go?

I just looked this show up. It's at the Blank Club. I don't think they have presales btw.
